| Research Interests |
His research interests are spatial hearing, auditory mechanism of spatial perception, binaural hearing, Head-Related Transfer Function, room acoustics, electrical acoustics, psychological acoustics, and sound field evaluation. Specific current topics include 3-dimensional sound localization, spectral cues for vertical localization, modelling of HRTF, and customization of HRTF. He was awarded the Newcomers Award of the Acoustical Society of Japan(1992), the Technical Development Award of the Acoustical Society of Japan(2001), and the OHM Technology Award(2004). He is a board member of the Acoustical Society of Japan. |
